Ecoship takes part in Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific

From 9-11 October, the Ecoship team participated in the Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific 2019 conference. The event brought together top executives from the major cruise line brands, as well as government officials and other key stakeholders. They discussed different topics affecting the cruise industry in the region, growth opportunities and prospects. The event took place at the Delta Hotel by Marriott, in the Baoshan district of Shanghai, China.

The three-day event featured a high-level conference programme with different keynotes, training workshops and interactive panels that covered all the key subjects in the region.

With more ships coming to the market in 2020, there is trust in the growth of the Asia Pacific market. Many people think that China can surpass the US in 2030 to become the world’s largest cruise source market.

Peace Boat and Ecoship were present at the event with a pop-up table display and introducing the new routes. Peace Boat voyage is very different from the traditional model, eschewing the concept of vacation in favour of participation. From April 2020, Peace Boat will also organize global voyages with a new passenger ship, the Zenith, a boat built in Germany in 1992.
