A Floating Sustainability Laboratory

In partnership with universities and other research bodies, Ecoship will be offered for use as a floating sustainability laboratory. With its global reach, the ship is perfectly placed to collect data and carry out research on the ocean and climate. Marine applications for green technology can also be trialled onboard, with the three-month voyages experiencing a wide range of sea and climate conditions that will optimize testing. The lifestyles of the Ecoship participants will also be monitored, with cabin-based smart-meters empowering passengers to make changes in their water consumption and energy use.
