The Ecoship travels to Shanghai for the Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific 2017
From 1-3 November, the Ecoship team will be present in Shanghai, China, for the Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific 2017 conference. The event will bring together top executives from the major cruise line brands, as well as government officials and other key stakeholders to discuss hot topics in Asia, growth opportunities and future prospects. It will take place at the Delta Hotel by Marriott, in the Baoshan district of Shanghai.
The three-day event features a top-level conference programme with different keynotes, training workshops and interactive panels that cover all the key subjects in the region. China is the main driver of passenger growth in Asia adding 770,000 more cruise travellers since 2012, a 66 percent compound annual growth rate. The country is now the second largest source market for cruising with 2.1 million passengers sailing in 2016. Predictions suggest that China will be the largest source market in the region with 4.5 million passengers by 2020.
